I love love love going to Trivia Tuesday at a local restaurant (I'm sure the $1 margaritas play a role in this), so I thought I'd share some of the things that I've learned during these things ;)
- On this day in 1874, Brigham Young leads his followers into the Salk Lake Valley, resulting in the establishment of Salt Lake City.
- Confucius started out as a corn inspector.
- Colorado is the only state in history to have turned down hosting the Olympics.
- There are 18 different animals represented in animal crackers (now can you tell me what they are...?)
- A fathom is 6 feet.
- There is a city named Rome on every continent.
- There are more TV sets in the UK than there are people.
- "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" uses every letter in the alphabet.
- The highest paved road in North America is the one leading to Mt Evans in Colorado. It reaches 14,258 feet above sea level!
- The electric chair was invented by a dentist (makes soooo much sense!)
